Virgin Colored Flame Retardant Polyester Staple Fiber (FR PSF)

Engineered for high-risk industrial safety, our virgin colored short fiber portfolio introduces advanced molecular modification. Phosphorus-based flame retardant agents are integrated directly into the polymer backbone prior to melt spinning. Unlike topical spray-on finishes that diminish via abrasion or washing, this intrinsic fire resistant fiber forms a robust self-extinguishing matrix that terminates combustion within 2 seconds of source removal. Designed to meet the stringent British Standard BS 5852, it guarantees minimal smoke density , zero halogen toxic off-gassing. This ultra-reliable polyester staple fiber is the global benchmark for automotive filling, protective gear liners, and contract-grade upholstery stuffing.

Empirical Burn Performance: Copolymer FR vs. Standard Polyester

Direct comparison between standard PET fiber (without flame retardant) and our molecularly modified flame-retardant short fiber under direct flame exposure.

Video Demonstration: Real-time vertical ignition test (Copolymer FR PSF vs. Standard Polyester Staple Fiber under 10-second direct butane flame contact).

Ignition and Flame Spread Comparison

1. Ignition & Flame Spread

Standard PET catches fire instantly and spreads flames, while the Copolymer FR fiber shrinks away from the heat source without promoting open fires.

Molten Droplet Behavior Comparison

2. Molten Droplet Behavior

Standard fiber creates dangerous flaming molten droplets. Our permanent FR PSF exhibits zero molten dripping, effectively preventing secondary fires.

Post-Ignition Charring Comparison

3. Post-Ignition Charring

Standard fiber burns completely to ash. The Copolymerized FR structure generates an insulating intumescent carbon barrier that protects underlying layers.

Technical Specifications & Architectural Alignment

Available in diverse linear density profiles and solution-dyed color palettes to balance high filling loft with immutable safety criteria.

Industrial Spec (Density × Cut Length) Denier Conversion Optimal Processing Alignment & Use-Cases
8.88 dtex × 64MM ≈ 8.0 Denier Fine profile dedicated to high-density needle-punching. Excellent for lightweight protective garment linings and public transportation seat backings.
16.67 dtex × 64MM ≈ 15.0 Denier Coarse, high-bulk safety wadding. Engineered for heavy industrial insulation filters, thermal safety buffers, and non-woven acoustic pads.
7.78D × 65MM 7.78 Denier Premium dope-dyed colored PSF. Optimized for carding uniformity in OEM automotive fillings, under-hood shields, and molded trunk acoustics.
15D × 64MM 15.0 Denier High-resilience hollow or solid configuration. Best for maximum compression recovery in luxury residential mattress cores and commercial upholstery stuffing.

Uncompromising Structural & Thermal Advantages

  • Molecular-Level Permanent Safety: Because the chemical structures are bonded into the core chain, the flame retardancy cannot wash out or abrade, outperforming standard finishes across 50+ commercial wash cycles.
  • Self-Extinguishing Carbonization Barrier: Stops flame propagation instantly upon ignition-source removal. The matrix chars rather than liquefies, completely mitigating the risk of flaming molten drops in enclosed public spaces.
  • Eco-Friendly, Non-Toxic Chemistry: Formulated free of halogenated gasses. Minimizes toxic smoke density outputs ($D_s\text{ max} < 300$) ensuring compliance with critical safety guidelines during transit emergencies.
  • Dope-Dyed Shade Homogeneity: High-purity solution-dyeing blends pigments into the molten polymer. Delivers exceptional UV light fastness (Grade 6-7) and zero color crocking for high-exposure environments.

High-Risk Applications & Targeted Industries

🚗 Tier-1 Automotive Interiors

1. What is the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)?
Our standard MOQ is 5,000 kg per order. However, MOQ requirements vary by product, and pricing is quantity-dependent—the larger the volume, the lower the unit price. Please contact us to discuss your specific needs; we remain flexible on quantities.
2. Can I mix different products in a single order?
Absolutely. You are welcome to combine multiple products within one order.
3. Can I get samples?
Yes. We provide free samples; however, the shipping cost is borne by the customer. For additional sample requests beyond the initial complimentary ones, a sample fee plus shipping charges may apply. The sample fee is refundable against your subsequent bulk order.
4. How do you ensure product quality?
We encourage you to place a trial order to evaluate our quality firsthand. While the trial order MOQ remains 5,000 kg, bulk pricing advantages apply to larger commitments. Our experienced Quality Control team monitors both raw material sourcing and the entire production process to ensure consistent standards.
5. Can I customize my own design?
Absolutely. We offer comprehensive OEM/ODM services. Clients may provide their own designs or original samples for reference. Our professional engineers and skilled workers will collaborate closely with you to develop exclusive designs. Please note that OEM/ODM products carry separate MOQ requirements.
6. Do you offer custom packaging?
While the net weight per package is fixed, we can customize packaging bags and labels according to your specifications.
7. What are your payment terms?
For standard products: 30% deposit upon order confirmation, with the balance due before shipment. For OEM/ODM products: 100% advance payment or Letter of Credit (L/C) at sight. Alternative payment arrangements can be discussed—please contact us for details.
8. What is your lead time?
